For changes to an existing site, small fixes, or extra hands next to your own team. I estimate first and keep a log of the time, so you can see what you’re paying for. There’s no minimum.
Prices exclude VAT.
Not ready to start a project?
Send me your current website and I’ll check it for free. Within one working day you get a short email from me: how fast it is on a phone, how it looks to Google, and the first three things I’d fix.
No obligation and no mailing list. If it turns out your site is fine, I’ll say so.
How it can cost this little
A low price is only reassuring if you know where it comes from. Here’s where mine comes from.
The groundwork is already done
Hosting, forms, spam protection, analytics, accessibility and speed checks are set up once and reused on every project. You are not paying for me to solve them again.
No sales team or account managers
You talk to the person who writes the code. Nobody in between is paid to relay your requirements.
No office
No rent or overheads priced into your quote.
What you can count on
The same for every project, and written into the agreement.
- The price is fixed before I start. If you ask for something extra, I quote it separately and you decide.
- You pay in stages, starting with a deposit.
- The code, the hosting and every account are in your name from day one.
- You see the finished site on a private link before the final payment.
- Anything that breaks in the first 14 days after launch, I fix for free.
Tell me what you need
A sentence or two is plenty. It comes straight to me, and I reply within one working day.

Questions about pricing
Why are your prices so much lower than agencies?
Mostly because the groundwork is already built. Hosting, forms, spam protection, analytics, and the accessibility and speed checks are set up once and reused, so a typical site takes me days rather than weeks. The rest is overhead I don’t have: no sales team, no account managers, no office.
Is the price actually fixed?
Yes. We agree it in writing before I start, and it only changes if you ask for something that wasn’t in the agreement. If that happens I quote the extra piece separately and you decide whether to go ahead. You won’t get a surprise invoice.
How does payment work?
In stages, never all up front. For a typical website that’s a deposit to start, a payment when you approve the preview, and the balance at launch. Bigger projects are split into more stages.
Do your prices include VAT?
Prices are shown without VAT. Whether VAT applies depends on my registration status when I quote, and the quote will say so clearly.
What does it cost to keep the site running?
Usually very little. Hosting for a site like this is often free or a few dollars a month, and a .co.za domain is around R100 to R200 a year. Those accounts are in your name and you pay the providers directly. I don’t add a margin. The care plan is optional and costs R750 a month.
Do you work with clients outside South Africa?
Yes, happily. Prices are shown in US dollars as well as rand, and I can work across time zones. International clients pay by bank transfer or card.
